More about BEST International.

The Board of European Students of Technology, BEST, is a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organisation. Since 1989 BEST has been providing communication, co-operation and exchange possibilities for students all over Europe. Nowadays there are 95 Local BEST Groups, also called LBG’s, spread over 32 countries. Luckily for you, Ghent is one of them!

These are the things that we do.

Courses

We are without a doubt best known for our courses. That is when engaging, like-minded students from all over Europe come together to participate in an awesome mix of academical, cultural and social activities.

EBEC Challenge

We also organise engineering competitions called EBEC - short for the European BEST Engineering Competition - that will put your creativity and problem solving skills to the test. These range from small local rounds to one final European round where the previous winners will compete for great prizes.

Internationalisation

Bumping into members from other countries happens more than you’d think. Not only do we organize activities within our LBG, but social events and cultural exchanges with other European countries are an essential part of BEST.

Trainings

We believe that not everything can be taught in a classroom. Being part of BEST is the ideal way to develop those other skills. This happens through both hands-on experience and specialised workshops, taught by our very own trainers.

And what about LBG GHENT?

Founded in 1995, LBG Ghent has been an active and hardworking member of BEST ever since. We're an enthusiastic and dynamic group of friends mainly composed of students at the faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Ghent. While our presence is certainly the strongest at this faculty we welcome any student with the right spirit to join us!
